Mrs. Nichelle Walker (formerly Johnson) is eager to start her 11th year serving as principal at the exceptional Morrell Park Elementary Middle School, where scholars are "Soaring to Exceptional Heights!" Mrs. Walker is entering her 26th year as an educator having served in the capacity as an elementary and middle school teacher for 10 years, math lead teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Being born and raised in Baltimore and continuing her post high school educational career at University of Maryland at College park with a Bachelors in Sociology; Towson University with a Masters in Elementary Education; and Johns Hopkins University with a Masters in Administration and Supervision, Mrs. Walker believes that "Anything is Possible if you Believe and Put in the Work!"

Calandra Arrington -Assistant Principal |
Mrs. Calandra Y. Arrington was born in Baltimore, MD and is a product of the Baltimore City Public School system. She graduated as a Lady Knight from the prestigious Baltimore City College High School. There she played basketball, volleyball and track and field. Starting her 25th years ago as an educator,
Ms. Arrington has served as a teacher, grade-level chair, Blum Mentor, Educational Associate, and Assistant Principal at several schools across the city. Ms. Arrington started her career in education as a 3rd grade teacher at Sinclair Lane Elementary School. Ms. Arrington was promoted to Assistant Principal in 2010 and has served in this position at Fort Worthington Elementary, Pimlico Elementary/Middle, Belmont Elementary, and now here at Morrell Park. Ms. Arrington received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Towson University, and a master’s degree in Urban School Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Mrs. Arrington also has earned her credentials in Educational Leadership from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. Mrs. Arrington is the proud mother of one daughter, McKenzie, who also attends a City School. Mrs. Arrington enjoys shopping, traveling, creating crafts and spending time with family. Mrs. Arrington was influenced and mentored at a young age by her mother who wanted and expected the best from her and her two siblings. Mrs. Arrington believes in enjoying life by being of service to others. She lives by the quote, “Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, Today is a gift”. |
